VIA FRANCIGENA
The Via Francigena, Francisca or Romea, is part of a series of routes, also known as vie romee, which from Western Europe, particulary from France, led to Southern Europe as far as Rome, then continuing towards Puglia, where there were the ports of embarkation for the Holy Land, a destination for pilgrims and crusaders
